There’s nothing quite like the diversity of downtown Charlottesville. You can go from the bricks and buildings of the mall to the beauty and history found in the surrounding parks. Even a sunset on top of a parking garage can make for the perfect photo location.
Ashley and Ryan love downtown – especially where they first met, at Java Java. That was our first stop for their engagement session. It was one of the craziest sessions I’ve ever been a part of. We didn’t realize it at first but it was a big concert night downtown. The Mall was full of foot traffic so we had to dodge people left and right. Also, as we were walking between locations, a bird randomly dropped “a bomb” that grazed Ashley’s jeans. Luckily she came with baby wipes and we were able to get that cleaned up quickly. Then as we were getting the toast pictures on top of a parking garage downtown, someone called the police and said that we drinking in public. Next thing we know a cop is driving by asking us to dump out the bottle. When we told him that it was cider and not champagne – I think he was a little embarrassed. Needless to say, even with all the craziness we had a wonderful time and got some amazing pictures!
Congratulations Ashley and Ryan!
